Meet The Team

Caroline Lavigne
Business Owner
I was born French-Canadian in Montreal, Quebec. I have lived in the United States since 2012, after graduating from the University of Montreal with a degree in Biology.
My first Veterinarian Technician position was in 2007, and it convinced me to pledge healing animals in need whenever possible. I fostered hundreds of animals, as well as volunteered in shelters, and even started a Catch & Release program with one of the many clinics I have worked at in Montreal.
After 14 years of working as a Veterinarian Nurse, I started a position as a Veterinarian Manager in a local rescue.
I finally decided to work for myself and started WNC Pet Care in 2017, after caring for many pets as a side job.
My veterinarian knowledge has allowed me to provide a superior approach to this field. Our staff are all CPR Pet Certified, and they undergo training for basic procedures, such as nail trimming, injections and more.
I couldn't be more grateful for all of our client's trust with their beloved pets. I am, and always will be, taking care of animals as my own, and I share this important business motto with my team.

I graduated in 2011 from the University of Southern Indiana, with a bachelor’s degree in Individual Studies (with an emphasis in Nutrition) and minors in Marketing and Business. In 2010, I graduated from massage therapy school. I’m also a Certified Transformational Life Coach, Bowen Therapy Practitioner, and hold a 200 hour RYT.
Although my career path has led me to work mainly with people, I’ve spent my free time caring for our furry friends. I grew up on a small farm in southern Missouri. It was there that I learned to treasure our four legged family members.
I started rescuing animals in 2004. In 2013, my husband and I started a small domestic cat rescue on our property in southern Illinois.
I’m truly honored to be a part of such an amazing community! I’m looking forward to helping care for your furry family members!

Born in Dallas, Texas but a native to North Carolina since I was 2 years old, I have been exploring the great outdoors since early childhood. I spent many times hiking with my German Shepard of 12 years, and also venturing the Blue Ridge Parkway with my family.
I graduated from Enka High School with high honors, and went on to obtain an Associate in Arts at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in May of 2017. After that, I was an honors student at Capella University, where I majored in Education and minored in Psychology, until the birth of my son in December of 2018.
I am so grateful that my sweet boy got to spend time with my German Shepherd, Jada, before she crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
I have always felt that animals speak to us. Coming from Native American descent, I feel an immense connection when out in nature.
Ever since my dog saved my life when I received a concussion several years ago, I knew that our furmily members possessed a love that can't be put into words! I want to give that same love back to the world, in honor of my sweet Jada. I will do just that for your precious fur babies!

Born in Idaho but having grown up in Raleigh, I call North Carolina home. I initially pursued a Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Care, but the pandemic caused me to make the decision to walk away from college.
I have always had a love for animals, and I enjoy getting to meet new pups and cats every day I am at work! When I am not helping with fur babies, I also work for a local bakery in Asheville.
I enjoy spending time with my dog (Nala, as pictured above) and my beautiful wife. We love exploring the mountains, and you can oftentimes find me tackling the whitewater in my kayak!

I attended the University of North Carolina- Charlotte, and specialized in art. I have grown up in North Carolina, and I have always loved working with and being around animals!
I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at numerous local animal shelters, and I held an internship where I job shadowed at a veterinarian office as well.
I have always wanted to pursue a path where I could work with animals, and this job has made that dream come true for me!
I love being creative in my free time. I also enjoy spending time with my two dogs, Cletus and Butter. I think it is important to be the voice for the ones who don't have one.

I am a native of Western North Carolina, grew up in Brevard, attended UNC-A, and have lived in in Asheville ever since.
I have a degree in Mass Communications, and certifications in Functional Nutrition and Fitness.
I’ve always had a huge passion for health and animals, and now I’m proud to have created a career doing what I love. And I’m so excited to be a part of the WNC Pet Care team!
I have been pet sitting for over 15 years and have cared for hundreds of animals. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs, but I love puppies and cats too!
I used to have three dogs of my own and a job where I worked long hours or traveled often, so I understand how important it is to find someone qualified to take good care of fur babies. I always treat animals like they are my own and care for them with the highest attention and detail.
In addition to hanging with animals, you can find me teaching fitness classes, cooking, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, and taking photos…mostly of adorable sleeping dogs!
