I was born French-Canadian in Montreal, Quebec. I have lived in the United States since 2012, after graduating from the University of Montreal with a degree in Biology.  ​ My first Veterinarian Technician position was in 2007, and it convinced me to pledge healing animals in need whenever possible. I fostered hundreds of animals, as well as volunteered in shelters, and even started a Catch & Release program with one of the many clinics I have worked at in Montreal. After 14 years of working as a Veterinarian Nurse, I started a position as a Veterinarian Manager in a local rescue.  ​ I finally decided to work for myself and started WNC Pet Care in 2017, after caring for many pets as a side job.  ​ My veterinarian knowledge has allowed me to provide a superior approach to this field. Our staff are all CPR Pet Certified, and they undergo training for basic procedures, such as nail trimming, injections and more.  ​ I couldn't be more grateful for all of our client's trust with their beloved pets. Hi there! I’m Ali — and I’m so excited to meet your pets (and you, too)! I’m a lifelong animal lover and proud dog (and hoo-man) mom who’s called the Carolinas home my whole life. I spent my early childhood in the Lowcountry of South Carolina and have lived in Western North Carolina for over 20 years now. My Great Pyrenees, Marshmallow, is my best friend and wins over the heart of anyone she meets! I started my career in customer service and gradually worked my way into management roles across a range of industries, from restaurants to herbal medicine and acupuncture supply companies. In 2018, my personal health journey led me into homesteading, and since then I’ve lost 100 pounds by embracing a from-scratch lifestyle. That shift connected me with a thriving local farming community, and since 2019 I’ve had the joy of working with animals and plants alike on regenerative farms here in WNC. Now, I’m pursuing a degree in Regenerative Agriculture — a path that combines my passion for animals, sustainability, and caring for the Earth. Whether I’m hiking, gardening, cooking, or caring for your beloved pets, I always try to leave a gentle, kind, ethical footprint (or paw print!) behind. Howdy howdy ! My name is Katerina , (Kat-tur-ree-nah) I have two Australian Shepherds, Boomer (brown boy) and Pepper (salt and pepper girl) along with one three-legged girl kitty (KitKat). I love them wholeheartedly. My passion is animals; loving them, training them, caring for them, amongst advocating for their happiness! Let’s go on an adventure and learn how to be dogs!

About me: I attended the University of North Carolina- Charlotte, and specialized in art. I have grown up in North Carolina, and I have always loved working with and being around animals! I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at numerous local animal shelters, and I held an internship where I job shadowed at a veterinarian office as well. ​ I have always wanted to pursue a path where I could work with animals, and this job has made that dream come true for me!  ​ I love being creative in my free time. ​I am a native of Western North Carolina, grew up in Brevard, attended UNC-A, and have lived in in Asheville ever since. I have a degree in Mass Communications, and certifications in Functional Nutrition and Fitness. I’ve always had a huge passion for health and animals, and now I’m proud to have created a career doing what I love. And I’m so excited to be a part of the WNC Pet Care team! I have been pet sitting for over 15 years and have cared for hundreds of animals. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs, but I love puppies and cats too! I used to have three dogs of my own and a job where I worked long hours or traveled often, so I understand how important it is to find someone qualified to take good care of fur babies. I have been around animals quite literally my entire life, as my mother was an AKC-recognized Sheltie breeder for 30 years by the time I was born. While Shelties naturally hold a special place in my heart, I love all dogs, big and small, and enjoy meeting new furry friends and learning about their unique personalities! In addition to being a lifelong dog enthusiast, I’ve cared for rabbits, exotic fish, cats, horses, and sheep. Horses have been a passion of mine almost as long as dogs. I began riding lessons at just three years old, which grew into a lifelong love of riding and horse training. I’ve also fostered and rescued quite a few cats over the years! My experience caring for horses has instilled in me a strong attention to detail and thoroughness, while growing up with dogs jump-started my appreciation for their quirky and endearing personalities. When I’m not on the clock, you’ll likely find me spending time with my own animals or out enjoying nature—most often from the back of my favorite, spirited horse!

I am a lifelong animal enthusiast with a heart big enough for creatures of all sizes. Growing up, a native to Western North Carolina, I was surrounded by furry, feathered, and scaly friends, sparking a lifelong love for animals. After studying hospitality in college, and obtaining a degree in it, I have worked in the field for 20 years. I love the service industry and I am now excited to serve the animals! I am a proud cat and dog mom and my world revolves around paws, whiskers, and wagging tails. If there’s an animal nearby, you can bet I’ve already bonded with it—and probably given it a cute nickname.

My heart belongs to my animal friends! I have had dogs and cats in my care, and at times goats, sheep, horses, a donkey, and chickens, all of my adult life. With the passing of my most beloved 16 yr old canine companion last year, I have an empty nest, and having just moved to NC into a shared homespace that does not allow for animals at this time, I find solace in caring for other folks' pets! I know first hand just how important it is to have loving care for our pet friends when we need to be away.I am forever grateful for the folks that have cared for mine and I would like to offer my care to others. I have experience with puppies, extra active dogs, senior dogs and cats with special needs and medication, and also an array of farm animals!

Hello, my name is Kailan! I grew up in Texas but have lived in WNC for 3 years. I have always had a passion for animals and grew up with so many different kinds. I have always dreamed of being able to work with them and am so grateful that I now have that opportunity! I have 5 fur babies of my own who I love so much. Along with my passion for animals, I also have a love for plants and operate my own small plant business in my spare time! When I am not working I love being outdoors whether it is gardening, camping, or hiking. I can’t wait to meet and love on your fur babies!

About me: I’m starting to lose track of all the places I’ve lived, but I grew up on the West Coast and after stints in South Korea, Brooklyn, and Canada, I am grateful to have landed in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. My career path has included roles in education, social work, video editing, and animation. Currently, I’m devoting some of my time to sequential narrative projects while also working with something I love - animals! I grew up always having a menagerie of pets - from dogs to iguanas - and animals have been some of my closest friends and greatest teachers in life. Part of my motivation for joining WNC Pet Care is to create more space in my life for connecting with and giving back to the beings that have given me so much. I am very excited to connect with and serve the precious animal pals of Appalachia! In my free time, I am a major enthusiast of foraging for wild edible mushrooms and plants, as well as cooking, gardening, illustration, and reading.

Hi! My name is Gabby! I was born and raised in Upstate New York. I moved to NYC to pursue graduate school for social work. 3 years ago, my husband and I decided to move to the mountains of WNC which has been one of the best decisions to date! Since moving here, we have adopted our two dogs, Lowa and Gradie, and I have had the pleasure of volunteering at the local Humane Society. I have gained experience of being around various types and personalities of animals throughout my life both personally and through volunteer work. I am a social worker at a substance use detox clinic in addition to working as a supervisor for a group practice based in New York. Humans and animals are more alike than we like to admit! We are all unique, with different needs and personalities that cannot be generalized. I will treat your furry family member with the individualized care they deserve and need! When I am not a social worker or volunteering, you can usually find me near a body of water since everyone in my family loves to swim and soak up the sun, especially after a great hike. I also enjoy baking, gardening, yoga, reading and traveling! I cannot wait to meet your furry baby!
