Caroline Lavigne
Business Owner
I was born French Canadian in Montreal, Quebec and have lived in the United States since 2012, after graduating from a Biology degree at University of Montreal.
My first Veterinary Technician position was in 2007 and convinced me to pledge healing animals in need whenever possible. I fostered hundreds of animals, as well as volunteered in shelters, and started a Catch & Release program with one of the many clinics I have worked at in Montreal.
After 14 years working as a Veterinary Nurse, I started a position as a Veterinary Manager in a local rescue.
I finally decided to work for myself and started WNC Pet Care in 2017, after caring many pets as a side job.
My veterinary knowledge has allowed me to provide a superior approach to this business. Our staff is CPR certified, and has training for basic procedures, such as nail trimming, injections and more.
I couldn't be more grateful for all my client's trust with their beloved pets. I am, and always will be taking care of animals as my own, and share this important business moto with my employees.

I graduated in 2011 from the University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in Individual Studies with an emphasis in Nutrition and minors in Marketing and Business. In 2010 I graduated from massage therapy school. I’m also a Certified Transformational Life Coach, Bowen Therapy Practitioner, and hold a 200 hour RYT.
Although, my career path has led me to work mainly with people, I’ve spent my free time caring for our furry friends. I grew up on a small farm in southern Missouri. It was there that I learned to treasure our four legged family members.
I started rescuing animals in 2004. In 2013 my husband and I started a small domestic cat rescue on our property in southern Illinois.
I’m truly honored to be a part of such an amazing community! I’m looking forward to helping care for your furry family members!

I am a life long animal lover. From the pets I had as a child, to the multitude of species I took care while my own children grew up, I have always adored animals. I have spent decades serving to better the lives of many pets while working in animal rescue, gaining skills in medical procedures, advocating for spay/neuter, fund raising and multitasking in all aspects of animal lives. I have also been told to be a true cat whisperer!
I bring to you a package of skills and compassion in taking care of your beloved pets just as they were my own. I am happy to do anything you and your babies need to stay safe, happy and secure!

Born in Dallas, Texas but a native to North Carolina since I was 2 years old, I have been exploring the great outdoors since early childhood. I spent many times hiking with my German Shepard of 12 years, and also venturing the Blue Ridge Parkway with my family.
I graduated from Enka High with high honors, and went on to obtain an Associate in Arts at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College in May of 2017. I was an honors student at Capella University, working toward my degree in Education as well as Psychology, until the birth of my son in December of 2018.
I have always felt that animals speak to us, and coming from Native American descent I felt connections when out in nature through just that. I love that my little boy got to know Jada (her German shepherd) before crossing over the rainbow bridge.
Ever since my dog saved my life when I received a concussion several years ago, I knew that our fur babies are a love that can’t be put into words. I want to give that same love back to the world, in honor of my sweet Jada.
